ABOUT ALAN J. HUBER, CFP
A Certified Financial Planner with over 25 years in financial services and marketing, Alan has also spent over 10 years in birth center management and birth advocacy.
In 1999 Alan opened a U.S. style birth center in Kingston, Jamaica. Within 4 months of the first birth, the center outgrew its building and then leased and converted an old maternity ward from the Catholic hospital. Utilizing Alan's marketing system, the center quickly reached its capacity of 100 births per month. This center became the prototype for the joint venture “ mega-birth center concept”, which many believe is the long term solution to the current obstetrical crises.
In 2001 he was commissioned to reverse the downward slide of a once profitable birth center in Florida. Utilizing his marketing and cash management programs, the Florida center saw a 400% increase in clientele within one year with a comparable revenue increase.
His long career in the insurance industry gives him credibility when dealing with insurance companies and managed care organizations. He became a national figure in financial services when he developed and produced the Life & Health Product EXPO, a trade show for the financial services industry. He took the show from a concept drawn on a bar napkin, to producing 12 shows across the USA annually. These shows were held in well known venues as the Houston Astrodome, Los Angles Convention Center and Tampa Convention Center. The EXPO was sold to an international trade show company.
As President of Business of Birth International, Inc., Alan travels the world improving birth for patients, providors and payors.
